Job Description
Campaign Manager £40,000 - £50,000 + bonus London (3 days per week)
Our client
We’re supporting a growing B2B events business that delivers a portfolio of events and awards for professional audiences. Email is their highest-performing marketing channel and a key driver of event registrations and commercial pipeline. As the business continues to grow, they’re investing further and looking to bring additional email marketing expertise into the team.
The role
We’re hiring for an Email Marketing Campaign Manager to take ownership of email campaigns across a portfolio of events and awards. This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident building and delivering campaigns independently in Salesforce Marketing Cloud – from audience segmentation and email creation through to automated workflows, testing and performance analysis.
You’ll be responsible for turning event propositions, speaker announcements and existing marketing collateral into compelling campaigns that communicate why audiences should attend and ultimately drive registrations. A key part of the role will be managing a large audience that spans multiple brands and events. You’ll need to understand where audiences overlap, when contacts should be cross-promoted to another event and when they should be suppressed to avoid conflicting campaigns or over-messaging.
The role in brief
- Build, test and deploy email campaigns end-to-end using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Build multi-stage campaigns that take audiences from initial awareness through to registration.
- Write compelling email copy focused on the value proposition and reasons to attend.
- Adapt messaging, tone and campaign angles for different audiences, sectors and event types.
- Design and build automated nurture journeys and workflows within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Create behaviour-led and triggered email sequences.
- Develop lead-scoring and nurture programmes.
- Identify opportunities to automate existing manual campaign activity.
- Build sophisticated audience segments using CRM, behavioural and event attendance data.
- Manage targeting across multiple brands and events while avoiding duplication and over-messaging.
- Understand audience overlap and determine when contacts should be cross-promoted or suppressed.
- Use engagement, attendance history, pipeline stage and other CRM data to improve personalisation.
- Run structured A/B tests across subject lines, messaging, CTAs and send times.
- Analyse campaign performance and use insights to improve future activity.
We’re looking for someone who has
- Strong hands-on email marketing experience, ideally within a B2B environment.
- Excellent working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including email campaigns, workflows, automation and segmentation.
- Experience independently building and delivering high-volume email campaigns.
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to write messaging that drives action and conversion.
- Experience segmenting large audiences across multiple brands, products, events or business units.
- A strong understanding of audience overlap, suppression, frequency management and effective targeting.
- Experience using CRM and behavioural data to inform campaign decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality campaigns at pace.
- Confidence analysing campaign performance and turning insights into improvements.
