Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Lawyer specializing in Commercial and Employment Law to join their dynamic legal team in Malta. In this role, you will work closely with corporate clients across various industries, handling everything from day-to-day employment matters and commercial contract negotiations to supporting senior partners on complex corporate transactions.

Main Duties:

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements while managing risk and regulatory compliance
• Advise local and global clients on employment law, compliance, and HR matters
• Manage employment disputes from initial advice through to Industrial Tribunal representation
• Support senior team on M&A, corporate restructures, and advisory
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions, memos, and regulatory updates

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Master of Advocacy (LL.M.) or equivalent foreign legal qualification
• Warranted Maltese Advocate (or eligible/working under supervision toward admission)
• 1–3 years experience in commercial contracting and employment law
• Maltese Industrial Tribunal and employment dispute experience preferred
• Fluent in Maltese and English
• Strong skills in legal drafting, commercial advice, and research tools
• Proactive, detail-oriented problem-solver who works well both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
• Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
