Position Summary

The Licensed Clinician – QMHP Clinical Supervisor provides clinical oversight, supervision, and support to Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) providing services to clients. The Licensed Clinician is responsible for facilitating QMHP group supervision on a rotating biweekly schedule, reviewing clinical documentation, and ensuring timely completion and signing of required 90-day documentation, including quarterly reviews and Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).

The Licensed Clinician ensures that QMHP services and documentation are clinically appropriate, consistent with client needs, and in accordance with organizational policies, professional standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

QMHP Clinical Supervision

  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight to QMHP staff through scheduled group supervision.
  • Facilitate QMHP supervision groups on a biweekly alternating schedule to provide consistent clinical support and oversight.
  • Review client-related concerns, clinical interventions, treatment progress, barriers to services, and staff needs during supervision.
  • Provide clinical guidance, feedback, consultation, and recommendations to QMHPs regarding client care and service delivery.
  • Identify clinical concerns requiring additional intervention, consultation, or escalation.
  • Ensure supervision documentation is completed accurately and submitted within 48 hours of each supervision session.
  • Monitor staff participation and follow up regarding incomplete or outstanding supervision documentation.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of clinical supervision provided.

QUALIFICATIONS/POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Additional requirements include:

  • Knowledge of electronic medical records
  • Knowledge of community and community resources
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Valid Texas State Driver’s License
  • TB Clearance
  • Flexibility to work overtime, holidays and weekends
  • Local travel is required.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have/be:

  • Bilingual capacity with ability to provide services in English and/or Spanish
  • Working knowledge of state and agency policies and procedures
  • An active license from the state Texas Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices, including trauma-informed care framework.
  • Knowledge and experience working with co-occurring populations (chronic health conditions, mental health and substance use) with emphasis on children and adolescents.
  • Strong clerical/administrative skills, including personal computer skills (Microsoft Office software).
  • Ability to make routine decisions and determine proper action based on experience within the limits of policy and procedures.
  • Demonstrated oral/written skills in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages and economic backgrounds a culturally competent and sensitive manner.

EDUCATION:

Must have completed a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

  • One of the following licenses is required (must be fully licensed to practice independently without supervision):
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
