ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Role Summary:
Cloud Engineers are responsible for system and infrastructure operations in context of productive GK solutions in cloud. Cloud Engineers are primarily concerned with cloud environments’ components-maintenance, optimization, issue analysis, automation, consulting and planning of cloud solutions. This job can be executed from home office with rare occasions of attending physical company meetings or direct customer contact in person.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, create and maintain GK cloud solutions
- Automate cloud related tasks
- Maintain cloud environments
- React upon support requests and monitoring alerts
- Architect cloud solutions
- Analyze productive issues
Other Tasks:
- Consult other GK departments in cloud infrastructure topics
- Consult clients in cloud topics
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Training and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Managed Services experience, e.g. ITSM & ITIL, for a plus
- Retail Experience for a plus
Technical Skills
- Technical Affinity & Experience
- Profound knowledge needed in:
- Azure, AWS or other cloud vendor technology
- Kubernetes & Containers
- Experience needed in:
- Terraforming/infrastructure as code
- Jenkins / GIT
- CI/CD Pipelines
- Shell Scripting
- Cloud networking
- Basic know-how in:
- SQL / Database Knowledge
- Linux
- VPN
- for a plus:
- Kibana, Grafana
- Prometheus
- Valid certificates in either AWS, Azure, Google or Oracle cloud ‘not’ required but beneficial
- Comparable experience for this role is associated with following roles:
- AWS Architect and/or DevOps Engineer
- Azure Solution Architect and/or DevOps Engineer
- Solid knowledge in Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio)
