Job Description

As a Sr. Quality Improvement Facilitator, you will be responsible for working with State Flex Coordinators and critical access hospital staff, assisting with Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project (MBQIP) reporting, quality improvement implementation, and educational deployment. In addition, you will provide operational support to the RQITA team by assisting the team with development and execution of technical assistance and education related to national hospital quality measures, supporting team operational needs, and by contributing to the advancement of program materials and intervention tools that support rural hospital needs.

What you'll do:

  • Facilitates technical assistance and education, ensuring plans, tasks and timelines meet the Company and contracting agency requirements
  • Identifies, spreads and provides education on data collection and reporting and quality improvement to state Flex programs and hospitals and assists in implementation
  • Develops and maintains activity and/or project tasks
  • Ensures tasks and timelines meet contractual and Company requirements and guidelines. Provides regular updates to Company management on activity and/or project status
  • Researches and gathers technical and clinical data to support activities and/or project initiatives
  • Performs analysis on the results of the data collection
  • Based on the outcome of the analysis, determines areas for improvement
  • Provides recommendations feedback to project participants
  • Assists in the development of project materials and intervention tools
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, and/or experience in the following areas: community health professional, rural healthcare knowledge/expertise, public health professional, community development professional, RN, LPN, RHIA or RHIT
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in hospital quality measure development, reporting, and/or evaluation
  • Experience in hospital quality improvement or infection prevention is preferred
  • Customer-service oriented

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Self-directed, assertive, great critical thinking skills
